Ghoomtee is a heritage Bungalow and is more than 100 years old. It is a well maintained heritage property. It was built by the British and is situated at an altitude of 4150 feet with magnificent views. The east and the south side of the bungalow is the Lawn with Bamboo grove and garden and in the west is the factory. The garden is in the hill slope carpeted with lush green tea bushes and is beautiful to look at. The views are mesmerizing with the Himalayan range and peaks are visible on a clear day and at night Siliguri lights are visible. The garden is spread along the undulating slopes of green valley and a luxurious wooden bungalow surrounded by lawns and garden with flowers. Four well - furnished bedrooms are available for guest with modern bathrooms. The bungalow has wooden floors and ceilings along with the fire place. Ideally located close to Darjeeling and is just 85 kilometers from Siliguri, nearly 120 kilometers from Gangtok and 50 kilometers from Kalimpong. The stay can be a nice stopover before going to any of the nearby destinations like Pelling, Gangtok, Kalimpong or Darjeeling. Added attractions are opportunity for hiking or short trek, Local Nepali music and dance by garden children at supplement cost and the best is the premium tea offered for sale at 15 per cent discount.
