Day 01: Maneybhanjang to Tonglu is a steep climb up to Meghma 7km or 3-1/2 hrs walk. Meghma is a small hamlet with few houses & a small Monastery & impressive Chorten (stupa). Meghma to Tonglu is another 2kms. Tonglu or the local name Tumling is 3070mt high and is one of the peaks of Singalila range. There is a Trekkers Hut at Tonglu.

Day 02 - The next day's march from Tonglu to Gairibas 2621mt is downhill. The distance is 9km & it is 2hrs walk. The route passes through the bamboo glades. Gairibas to Kalipokhri 3170mt is continuous climb through the rhododendron forest. Distance is 6km and it takes 3hrs walk from Gairibas. Trekkers may stop here for a while for a tea break. There is a small pond at Kalipokhri which means 'Blackpond'. From Kalipokhri the road descends to Bikhebhanjang - valley of poison - (aconites grow in abundance at this place). Bikhebhanjang to Sandakphu is a steep climb of 4kms. and takes more than an hour to cover this trek. Accommodation is also available at Bidhebhanjang and Gairibas. There is a trekkers hut at Gairibas.

Day 03 - The stretch from Sandakphu to Phalut is the most spectacular of the trek.  A walk of about 4-1/2hrs. from Sandakphu the trekker will come across a stone house with blown of roof on the top of a small ridge. The place is known as Sabarkum and is 14km from Sandakphu. An alternative place of stay is Malley Trekkers Hut about 2km. from Sabarkum. From here Phalut summit is about 20minutes walk. A magnificent view of snowy range is obtained from the summit which is also tri-junction of Sikkim, West Bengal and Nepal. There is a Trekkers Hut at Phalut. Trekkers can camp at Mollee 1,811ft. Phalut is 1-1/2 hours walk from this point.

Day 04 - After Breakfast trek back from Phalut to Sandakphu, Hot lunch provided on the way.

Day 05 - After Breakfast trek back from Sandakphu to Tonglu, Hot lunch provided on the way.

Day 06 - After Breakfast trek back from Tonglu to Maneybhanjang, Hot lunch provided on the way. Trek Ends.
