Day 01:
Receiving of guests at Guwahati. Transfer to Hotel. Afternoon boat cruise on
the mighty Brahmaputra and suburbs.
Day 02: Full day visit to places around Guwahati in the great Brahmaputra
Valley.
Day 03: Drive to the state of Meghalaya – the land of Clouds. Check in at
the hotel in Shillong, the state capital. Afternoon visit Shillong.
Day 04: Full day excursion to Cherrapunjee – the highest rainfall area in
the world. The road to Cherrapunjee takes through mountains lined with
roaring waterfalls. Return to Shillong by evening.
Day 05: Drive to the World Heritage Kaziranga National Park through the
Nilachal Hills. Stay at the Forest Lodge.
Day 06: Early morning elephant safari in the central range followed by jeep
safari to the western range of the Kaziranga National Park. Return to lodge
for breakfast and lunch. Afternoon jeep safari to the eastern range of the
park.
Day 07: Morning nature-walk in the Panbari range. After lunch drive to
Jorhat. Stay at the heritage house.
Day 08: Visit the world’s largest river island – Majuli to uncover the
wealth of history and culture. Return to Jorhat by late afternoon.
Day 09: Drive to Sibsagar, Lunch at Sibsagar and drive to Dibrugarh – The
Tea City. Check in at Heritage Chang bungalow in the midst of a rolling tea
garden.
Day 10: Visit the tea estate and learn all about tea. Afternoon cruise on
the mighty Brahmaputra. Evening join in a dance performance by an Assamese
Bihu / Tea tribal Jhumur dance group in the bungalow lawns.
Day 11: Morning drive to Digboi enroute visiting Tai Phakial ethnic village.
At Digboi visit the oil museum and pay homage at the 2nd World War allied
forces cemetery. By late afternoon return.
Day 12: Morning at leisure in the tea estate bungalow. After lunch
departure. Tour Ends
