Day 01:
Arrival at Bagdogra airport transfer to Darjeeling. Check into Hotel.
Overnight at Hotel
Day 02: Early morning excursion to Tiger Hill 8400Ft to watch the sun rise
and the Kanchanjunga range. Visit Ghoom Monastery the oldest monastery in
Darjeeling belonging to the Gyelugpa Sect. of Buddhism. Drive back to hotel
for B/F. After B/F visit the Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre, Himalayan
Mountaineering Institute & Zoological park. Step in for Lunch, after lunch
drive to the Tea factory to watch the production of the famous Darjeeling
Tea. Evening walk around the market place and famous public Square (chowrasta)
Shop for Tea and souvenirs if interested .
Day 03: Drive to Pelling 6840ft ,West Sikkim the second capital of Sikkim,
4-1/2 hrs drive. Enjoy the landscape of the foothills of the Himalayas as
well as have an eagles view of the valley deep below with the river
meandering its way down. Stop over at Nayabazar the bordering town of Sikkim
for Lunch. Check into hotel at Pelling, Overnight at Hotel.
Day 04: Early morning walk to Sangacholing Monastery. Back to Hotel for B/F.
After B/F visit Pemayangtse Monastery the most important Monastery in the
history of Sikkim . Take a glimpse of the Rabdantse Palace Ruins. Drive to
Yuksom 5800Ft the 1st Capital of Silkim. Check into hotel. Evening take a
walk to Norbugang (The throne used for the coronation of the 1st King of
Sikkim), Stroll around the village to feel the culture and life style of the
villagers. Overnight at hotel
Day 05: After B/F walk up to the hill top to visit Dubdi Monastery and back
to the hotel to proceed for Martam / Rumtek. Stop over at Rabongla 7000Ft
for lunch. Visit Rumtek Monastery the 2nd headquarters of the Kagyupa Sect
of Buddhism. Drive to the village resort at Martam Village / Sambala Resort
at Rumtek / Bamboo resort at Rumtek. Evening walk around the village and
mingle with the villagers to feel the village life style. Overnight at
Resort.
Day 6. After B/F visit the old Rumtek Monastery and drive to the Airport to
board flight. Tour Ends
