Tripura claims a

punctuated with lush green sylvan treasure. The luxuriant forests of Jampui,
the premier one among the 6 principal hill ranges of Tripura provides a life
time’s exhilarating experience for the tourists.
‘Jampui Hill – The permanent seat of spring’ is situated at an altitude of
about 3000 ft above the sea level and about 250 kms away from Agartala, the
capital of Tripura. Jampui is famous for it’s charming landscape and bracing
climate. The hill range consists of cluster of tribal villages and is the
home for colourful Lusai and Reang tribal communities.
The neat and clean traditional wooden houses of the local inhabitants
combined with greenery all around provide excellent opportunities for
eco-friendly tourism in the hill range. During November every year, the
unique Orange festival is celebrated in the Jampui hill where a large number
of tourists both domestic and foreign, participate and enjoy.
‘Eden Tourist Lodge’ at Vanghmun village in the Jampui hill which has a
capacity of 20 persons to stay in well equipped with all modern amenities.
In addition, local hospitable Lusai people have also constructed ‘paying
guest accommodation’ in their houses. Boating facility in the Sabual village
of the hill range has been developed where other water sports facilities
will also be provided shortly.
