Situated at a distance of 37 kms from Kolkata, this town is famous for its French structures. Actually this was a French colony. Today the main attraction of Chandannagar is ‘Jagadhattri Puja’. It falls one month after famous ‘Durga Puja’ of Bengal. Thre are almost 80 – 90 Jagadhattri Pujas is Chandannagar.
