Situated at a distance of 55 kms from Siliguri and 58 kms from Darjeeling, Mirik the world’s highest lake resort is one of the relatively new hill stations in India. It is an attractive destination as a quiet resort. The 1.25 km long Sumendu Lake against the backdrop of the majestic Himalaya provides opportunities for a variety of water sports.

By Air – The nearest airport is Bagdogra. It is 52 kms away. It takes about 2.5 hrs to reach Bagdogra from Mirik. Indian Airlines and Jet Airways operate services to and from Kolkata, Patna, Delhi and Guwahati.

By Rail – two closest major railway stations are Siliguri Junction (52 kms) and New Jalpaiguri (62 kms). These railway stations have direct onnectivity to and from Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Guwahati etc.

By Road – Bus service between Mirik and Siliguri & Darjeeling is frequent. Private taxi and share taxis are also available.
