Sandakphu is the place from where one can view the four of the five highest peaks of this world, namely Everest, Kanchenjunga, Mokama, Lhotse. It is a paradise for adventure lovers. Every year a good number of trekker come here to enjoy the hilly trail.

Phalut is 23 kms from Sandakphu. And it is the highest point in West Bengal (3600 mt). It is another vantage point to see the beauty of Himalaya.

To reach Sandakphu or Phalut you have to start your trek from Maneybhanjan (a small place, 34 kms from Darjeeling). Accommodation for trekkers are available at Tonglu, Tumling (Nepal), Joubari (Nepal), Gairibas, Kalpokhri, Sandakphu, Phalut, Molley, Gorkhey, Siri, Rammam and Rimbick.
