It is the land of the one-horned rhinoceros that roams Kaziranga National Park and the mighty Brahmaputra River that flows rapidly to merge later with the Ganga on its way to the Bay of Bengal. Perched on top of the Nilachal hills is Kamakhya a temple named after a most revered Goddess. The state is also famous for its colourful fairs & festivals.
