Tamenglong
Tamenglong exhibits the pristine beauty of Manipur. This place is gifted with hills, narrow valleys and forests with rich variety of flora and fauna, the hilltops and valley sides are scattered with small hamlets which are inhabited by tribe like Rongmei, Liangmei, Zemei and Pumei and Kukis. Excellent excursion destinations like the caves, the shimmering waterfalls and the deep gorges. The exotic orchids, add to the magic of this place. Situated at a distance of about 156 kilometers from the state capital Imphal, this place is popular for the Tharon cave, burning meadow, Zailad Lake and Barak water-falls.

By Air – Tamenglong is nearly 160 kilometers from the state capital Imphal. Imphal is connected by air with Kolkata and New Delhi. Indian Airlines, Jet Airways connects Imphal to Delhi, 4 hours Journey. Imphal to Kolkata is 1 hour, Aizwal 30 minutes, Jorhat 35 minutes and Silchar is 30 minutes. Guwahati is the major airport 50 minutes flight from Imphal.
By Rail - Tamenglong is nearly 160 kilometers from the state capital Imphal. Nearest railway station is Dimapur and Manipur Road on the North East Frontier Railway (NEF) nearly 215 kilometers from Imphal. Another railway station is in Jiribam 225 kilometers from Imphal. Or travelers can travel up to Guwahati (nearest major rail head from Imphal) by bus or by air.
By Road – Tamenglong is nearly 160 kilometers from the state capital Imphal and can be accessed through roads only. One can reach Dimapur from Imphal 215 kilometers on National Highway 39 or Guwahati from Imphal nearly 500 kilometers along National Highway 39. Silchar is also connected to Imphal by a 10 hours drive by bus. Bus service to Tamenglong is available from all town and in regular frequency.
