Day 1
Arrival - New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) - On arrival you will be received by our representative. He will assist you to board vehicle for Mirik (63 Kilometers / 1 ½ hours) – Mirik - Pleasant and serene this town is centered on the Sumendu Lake. Landscaped tea gardens, orange orchards, cardamom groves, etc, offers spectacular views of the eastern Himalayan ranges. Milder climate with an ideal setting for calm walks is a paradise for visitors – Evening free to visit Sumendu Lake - One can go for boating in the lake or take a horse ride or simply walk around - Over night stay at hotel.
Day 2
Mirik to Darjeeling – 49 kilometers 1 ½ hours – Early morning breakfast and drive to Darjeeling via Pashupati and Simana – Darjeeling - At an elevation of 2123 meters / 70001 feet, the land of breathtaking beauty, amidst rolling tea gardens, known popularly as the Queen of the hills. Day 3
Early morning around 3:45 AM visit to Tiger Hill for Sunrise and visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop. Back to hotel for Breakfast and a bit of rest - Next sight seeing includes - Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing Rock, Himalayan Zoo, Tea Garden, Tibetan Refugee Centre, Lebong Race Course, etc - Return to Hotel - Lunch at hotel or on the way - Evening free for shopping and to stroll around the local market – Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4
Morning breakfast – Drive to Pelling via Peshok (125 kilometers / 5 hours) – Teesta Baazar – Jorethang – Lunch on the way – Pelling - It is a pleasant, serene hamlet - It has magnificent snow peaks, the refreshing greenery, small stream, amazingly brilliant falls, terraced hillside fields of paddy and corn - At an elevation of 2073 meters / 6,800 feet, it offers the most spectacular views of Mount Kanchendzonga, Mount Makalu and Mount Pandim - Check into hotel in Pelling – Evening free to stroll around Pelling -Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5
Morning breakfast – Local sight seeing - Khecheopalri Lake, a sacred Buddhist lake and the monastery - Kanchenjunga falls – Back to hotel for lunch – second half one can visit the second oldest monastery of Sikkim, Sangachoeling Monastery can be reached by a 45 - minute walk up the forest, there is a flat stone lying on the side of the monastery, overlooking the panoramic view of country side and mountains - This is the best view point for early morning sunrise - Night stay in Pelling.
Day 6
Early morning breakfast – Drive to Gangtok – 120 kilometers, 5 hours - Is a tranquil spot surrounded by fog and masked mountains – Gangtok - At an elevation of 1,780 meters / 5,480 feet is the capital of Sikkim. It enjoys a serene, pleasant climate all year round and a wonderful destination for tourist in search of delight and peace. It is best for leisure or escapade. One can go trekking or any other adventure. Sikkim is a land of stupas, monastery and mysticism - Check into hotel in Gangtok – Evening free to stroll around Mahatma Gandhi Road (M.G. Day 7
Tsomgo / Changu Lake excursion -- This excursion is a drive of about 40 kilometers away, this serene lake is at an altitude of 12,400 feet near Nathu La Pass. The route is along Kyangosla wildlife and there are waterfalls but the biggest one is Kyangosla fall. The lake is nearly a kilometers in length, 4 ½ meters in depth and the lake remains frozen during the winter months up to mid - May. This lake is frozen most of the time. It is considered sacred by the local people. The area is scenic and a temple of lord Siva is constructed on the lakeside. Various species of birds can be spotted. One can get coffee or tea sold by the vendors in the vicinity of the lake. Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial and Nathu La Pass are nearby (18 Kilometers) - Evening free to stroll around the market for shopping - Overnight stay at hotel.
